If you are on the HCG Diet plan smoothies are a great part of your HCG Diet strategy. Smoothies are a quick and easy way to make healthy snacks and meal substitutes. I’m going to give you a couple of my favorite HCG Diet recipes for smoothies here. They are great for a little refreshment, energy, and sweet taste which is an occasional craving for those on the HCG Diet due to the avoidance of sugar. Also, I’m going to recommend how to make your smoothies more filling while still staying on the HCG Diet plan.

Strawberry Orange Smoothie
Ingredients (one serving)
1 Cup strawberries (approximately 8 large strawberries)
½ an orange
½ cup ice
¼ teaspoon of powdered stevia or 10 drops of liquid stevia (your choice of flavor, vanilla is a good choice)
½ to 1 cup of water depending on your desired smoothie thickness

Preparation instructions
Remove tops of strawberries
Chop the strawberries into quarters
Peel orange
Put strawberries and orange half in blender and blend to a puree
Add in ice, and blend briefly
Add in the desired amount of water, and write it down so you know for later
Add in stevia as you blend in the water so it gets mixed throughout.
Pour into glass and enjoy

Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie
1 cup blueberries
½ cup ice
¼ teaspoon powdered stevia or 10 drops liquid stevia (chocolate flavor)
½ to 1 cup water depending on desired thickness
2 tablespoons cocoa powder (organic with no added sugar)

Preparation instructions
Add blueberries into blender and blend to a smooth puree
Add in ice and blend
Blend in water to achieve desired thickness
As you blend in water add in stevia drops so it mixes evenly

Now, I mentioned earlier that you can alter these HCG Diet recipes to turn these smoothies into a meal, and increase its ability to fill you up. Both of these shakes can be turned into protein shakes easily, and then they can go from achieve one fruit in your HCG Diet plan to one fruit and one protein. The important aspect of this is to select an HCG Diet approved protein powder, since many protein powders at local health and vitamin stores have sugar added, some in very large quantities. Many people on HCG Diets recommend either Jay Robb’s Protein Powder and another great option is HCG Shake (that’s a brand name). Both of these products are HCG Diet plan approved, though there are other available options. For these shake recipes, minor adjustments should be made. For the Strawberry Orange Smoothie one scoop of protein powder (I recommend vanilla or flavorless). For the Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie I recommend substituting the cocoa powder with chocolate protein powder. Add in the protein powder following the ice and before the water so that the powder gets mixed thoroughly throughout.

In addition to being easy to make smoothies can also be made in large quantities and travel easily. Just mix sever servings of your HCG Diet plan smoothie and store it in the refrigerator, then we really need a snack or meal, but don’t have the time to prepare it you can just pour yourself a delicious smoothie. Also, take a smoothie to work with you in a thermos, or keep it in the fridge at work. This is a convenient way to stay on the HCG Diet plan while at work. Enjoy these great HCG Diet recipes, and enjoy dropping those pounds.
